Cursed

Tagline: What doesn't kill you makes you stronger

Wes Craven is one of the best Directors in the business, is this one of his best films? No. I have been waiting to see this movie ever since I got word of it a few years back. It was suppose to come out a while ago but due to production problems, its just now making it to theaters. I read Wes' interview in Fangoria magazine and he told how he was pretty much forced into doing everyting he didn't want to do. Things like it having to be PG-13 and going back and starting over because the producers didn't like how the Werewolf looked and how the movie ended. But besides that he made a great effort.
This movie stars Christina Ricci (Ellie) and Jesse Eisenberg (Jimmy) as brother and sister, who are involved in a strange car accident, that changes their lives. After being attacked by the Wolf they realized that they now have the "Curse", and the only way to stop it, is to kill the beast that started it.

Saw

Tagline: Every piece has a puzzle

Well I just got done watching this movie for a THIRD time and it is as good as the first. I was very skeptical of this movie when it hit theatres but I went anyways, and I was completely satisfied. This is one of those movies you will probably hear many mixed reviews about, but I highly recommend it. This movie stars Cary Elwes (Dr. Gordon) and Leigh Whannell (Adam) two completely different men who both wake up in the secret lair of the serial killer "Jigsaw". They both must work together to piece the clues to get out alive, and with the help of Danny Glover (Detective David Tapp) on Jigsaw's trail they have a good chance, or do they. You have to see this movie for the Ending it is a real shocker, you would never expect it. And don't forget to see the sequel this Halloween.

Napoleon Dynamite

Tagline: He's out to prove he's got nothing to prove.

This was a movie that I really wanted to see but got mixed reviews from people I knew so I waited to see it. But I am glad I finally watched it, I guess I liked it because I could somewhat relate to him. Jon Heder a newcomer to films stars as Napoleon, the complete stereotype of a geek, who lives with his grandma (Sandy Martin) and 30 year old brother Kip (Aaron Ruell). You watch as Napoleon tries to survive High School, with the help of his new best friend Pedro (Efren Ramirez). And when grandma injures herself in a dirt bike accident, and Uncle Rico (Jon Gries) moves in to take care of him and his Kip, it only makes matters worse. This movie is full of non-stop laughter, and the best part is not them doing Sign Language to the song The Rose by Bette Midler.
